Building & Material Sciences is a multi-disciplinary team of technical resource professionals dedicated to understanding the technical details of construction. Existing in the gap between consulting and construction our in-house Building & Material Sciences team is dedicated to mitigating project risk, disseminating lessons learned, and evaluating and implementing construction innovations. We embrace complexity and the unknown, if this team doesn’t have the answer, they will either find it or create it.
Building and Materials Sciences encompasses three areas of focus:
Building Sciences
Sound knowledge in building science principles and enclosure systems enables us to advise from project inception through to completion. Our BMS team provides valuable input on building envelope systems from constructability, performance, and durability perspectives.Construction Materials
We are industry leaders in the fields of concrete, mass timber, among other building materials. In particular, we provide technical support with regard to material review, selection and solutions to technically challenging issues related to high-performance and specialty concrete.Research & Development
Through industry affiliations and collaboration, we’ve developed an extensive network of experts across the engineering, construction, and academic communities. This positions the BMS team to identify potential innovations sooner, along with furthering the development of new materials, procedures, and methodologies that bring value to our clients.

Through active involvement in the whole project delivery process, and with research and development at its core, this group ensures that construction innovations in methods, equipment, and materials anywhere in the world are investigated and implemented on our projects.
